MEMBERSHIP CALENDAR

Conferences and EMIT Panels:

  • EMIT organizes biannual conferences all across the country. Typically, EMIT conferences fall on even years (2008, 2010, 2012, etc.).
  • EMIT organizes annual panels at the Renaissance Society of America convention.

Membership Dues

  • Calendar: EMIT Membership dues are annual and run from January 1st to December 31st.
  • Biannual Conference: Membership should be paid/ renewed before OCTOBER 1st if a member presents at the Biannual Conference.
    NOTE: Membership paid on even years allows for participation (upon paper acceptance) at both EMIT bi-annual conference and RSA-EMIT panels. Do not pay twice.
  • Panel proposal for the RSA and acceptance: All EMIT members may submit RSA panel proposals to EMIT. Calls for panels are usually submitted a year before a given RSA conference, sometime in the spring. Once the panel is accepted by EMIT, all participants, including the panel organizer, must send membership dues for two years. As many other Societies, EMIT requires membership the year the panel is accepted, as well as the year the panel presents. Members should send dues no later than FEBRUARY 1st of the year the RSA convention takes place. Members may select  “2” in the quantity box in our Paypal system to pay for two years.

Conferences Registrations.

  • Conference registration is required to participate in EMIT biannual meetings. These fees are not payable via the EMIT website Paypal link. Please consult with conference organizers in each specific case.
  • RSA membership and RSA conference registration is required to participate in RSA-EMIT panels. Please remit all RSA fees directly to the RSA.
